Troubleshooting: Tablet Not Connecting to Edan Device
If the tablet is not connecting to the Edan device, follow these steps to ensure proper setup and data transmission:
Access Device Setup:
Tap the profile icon located in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Right-click on the profile and select “ Device Set Up.”
Prepare for Pairing:
Ensure all nearby Edan devices are powered off to avoid interference during the pairing process.
Wait for a device to appear on the list.
Enable Device Communication:
Once the desired device appears, starting with VS, activate the tablet’s touch switch (located on the side of the screen).
Select the correct device from the list and click “Save devices.”
A confirmation message should appear stating: “Selected device saved successfully.”
Verify Connection and Take Temperature:
Navigate to any patient profile and initiate a temperature reading using the thermometer.
Allow approximately one minute for the temperature data to populate on the tablet.
Connection Confirmation Tip:
Watch the Edan device display. Once the temperature reading disappears or resets, this typically indicates that the data has been transmitted.
Retake the temperature. At this point, the reading should populate on the tablet.
